Burst Pipes or Winter Storm Damage? Furnished Temporary Housing in Marysville, WA

Bright, fully equipped kitchen with lounge area and futon at the Creekside Suite in Marysville, WA

Winter in the Pacific Northwest is usually more rain than snow, but every so often a cold snap or a big storm hits Snohomish County. A pipe freezes and bursts, a tree comes down on the roof, or a space heater starts a fire. Suddenly your home needs drying, repairs or a full rebuild, and you need somewhere to live in the meantime.

If you live in Marysville, Tulalip, Lake Stevens or Arlington, the Creekside Suite is a furnished place to stay close to home while the work gets done.

First Steps After Winter Damage

Every situation is different, but a few things help most families get through it:

  • Make sure everyone is safe, and shut off the water if a pipe has burst.
  • Take photos of the damage before cleanup starts.
  • Call your insurance company to open a claim.
  • Ask your adjuster whether your policy includes additional living expenses (ALE), sometimes called loss of use coverage, and what it pays for.
  • Keep receipts for meals, lodging and other extra costs.

Many homeowners and renters policies include some form of ALE, but limits and rules vary, so always confirm the details with your own insurer.

Why a Furnished Suite Beats a Hotel

Water damage repairs can take weeks. Fire damage can take months. Living in a hotel that long, eating every meal out and hauling laundry to a laundromat, wears people down. The Creekside Suite feels more like home:

  • A full kitchen and a Keurig, so you can cook your own meals
  • A washer and dryer right in the suite
  • A private entrance on the ground floor
  • A queen bedroom plus a sofa bed and an air mattress, sleeping up to 6
  • A desk and 383 Mbps Wi-Fi for work or school from “home”
  • A 75-inch TV with Roku, an electric fireplace and air conditioning
  • Parking for 4 cars, handy for work trucks or a family with several drivers

Out back there is a creekside patio, a fenced yard, a fire pit and a hammock for a quiet moment when the day has been a lot.

Stay Close to Your Home, School and Work

One of the hardest parts of being displaced is the extra driving. The Creekside Suite is 1.5 miles from I-5 and within walking distance of shopping, gas and dining. You can check on your house, meet contractors and keep kids in the same schools without a long commute. Quil Ceda Village and the Tulalip area are close by, and Lake Stevens and Arlington are an easy drive.

Good to Know Before You Book

The host family lives upstairs, and there are stairs down to the suite. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM. Pets are not allowed, so if you need to bring a dog or cat, let us know and we can talk about other options.

Monthly and Insurance Stays Welcome

Weekly and monthly stays are welcome, and booking direct makes it simple to extend if repairs run long. Adjusters, housing coordinators and families can find more details on our Marysville insurance housing page, or call or text 360-913-5965.
