Relocating to Everett, WA? A Furnished Monthly Lake House While You Find Your New Home

Living room with smart TV and lake views at the Silver Lake House in Everett, WA

Starting a new job in Everett is exciting. Finding a place to live while you get settled is the hard part. Maybe your company is covering a few weeks of housing, maybe you are still selling a home somewhere else, or maybe you just want to learn the neighborhoods before you sign a lease. Either way, a month or two in a hotel room gets old fast.

The Silver Lake House in south Everett is a furnished home base for people relocating to Snohomish County. You get a real house with a kitchen, laundry and room for the whole family, about 40 minutes north of Seattle.

Who Moves to Everett?

Everett is a working city. Major employers include The Boeing Company, Naval Station Everett, Providence Regional Medical Center, Snohomish County government, The Everett Clinic, Fluke and Funko. That means a steady stream of new hires, transferring Navy families, medical staff and contractors who need somewhere to land.

If that sounds like you, a monthly furnished rental lets you start work right away and take your time choosing where to put down roots.

Why a Furnished House Beats a Hotel for a Move

When you are between homes, the little things matter. Here is what the Silver Lake House gives you that a hotel usually can’t:

  • 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths, sleeping up to 7, so the whole family can come along
  • A full kitchen for home-cooked meals and school lunches
  • A washer and dryer, so you are not living out of a suitcase
  • A workspace and fast Wi-Fi for remote days and video calls
  • A game room with air hockey and its own outside entrance for kids or a second work area
  • Pet-friendly with a fee, so the family dog can move with you

And after a long day of meetings or house tours, you come home to a 1950s mid-century cabin with wood paneling, a stone fireplace, a sunken living room and views across Silver Lake from your own private dock.

Learn the Neighborhoods Before You Buy or Rent

The house sits near I-5 in south Everett, which makes it an easy base for exploring the area. Mill Creek is close by, Mukilteo and the Paine Field area are a short drive west, and downtown Everett is just up the freeway. Spend your evenings and weekends driving through neighborhoods, checking commute times and trying local restaurants before you commit.

If you’d rather leave the car parked, there is an Everett Transit bus stop one to two blocks from the house.

Life on Silver Lake

Moving is stressful, so it helps to stay somewhere that feels calm. Silver Lake has a 2.2-mile loop around the water with two public parks, swimming areas and disc golf. Power boats aren’t allowed on the lake, so it stays peaceful. Life jackets are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own kayaks or paddleboards.

A few house notes for longer stays: quiet hours are 9 PM to 8 AM, there are no parties or outdoor fires, and there is no fence between the lawn and the water, so keep an eye on little ones and pets near the shore.

Monthly Stays and Company-Paid Housing

Monthly stays are welcome. Booking direct means you deal with the owner, not a call center. That makes it easier to sort out dates, extend if your closing date moves, or set up a stay your employer or relocation company is paying for. If you’re between homes because of a fire, flood or water damage instead, see our insurance and temporary housing page for Everett.
