One of the biggest holiday light displays in Washington is back just off I-5 in Tulalip. Tulalip Lights & Ice runs every day from Saturday, November 21, 2026 through Sunday, January 10, 2027, with millions of lights, an outdoor ice rink and holiday vendors. If you’re coming up from Seattle or across Snohomish County for a night (or a whole weekend), the Creekside Suite in Marysville is a cozy place to stay just a short drive away.

What is Tulalip Lights & Ice?

Tulalip Lights & Ice is a free holiday lights event hosted at Tulalip. The lights stretch across the Tulalip Resort Casino and Quil Ceda Village area, and the ice rink and holiday market are set up at the Tulalip Amphitheatre. The 2026-27 season promises more than 10 million lights.

Here are the details posted for this season:

  • Dates: November 21, 2026 to January 10, 2027, every day including holidays
  • Light display hours: 4 PM to 10 PM daily
  • Opening night: the lighting ceremony is November 21 at 4:30 PM
  • Where: Tulalip Amphitheatre, 10400 34th Ave NE, Tulalip, WA 98271
  • Cost: entry and the light display are free; food and ice skating tickets are sold separately
  • Parking: lots south, east and west of the amphitheatre, with overflow parking at Tulalip Resort Casino

Hours and details can change, so check the official Tulalip Lights & Ice page before you go.

Ice skating under the lights

The outdoor rink is a big draw for families. Regular skating hours are 4 to 9 PM Monday through Thursday, 4 to 10:30 PM on Fridays, noon to 10:30 PM on Saturdays and noon to 9 PM on Sundays. Over the winter break, from December 19 to January 1, the rink opens at noon and stays open until 10:30 PM (with shorter 4 to 10 PM hours on Thanksgiving and on December 24 and 25). Skating tickets are sold at tulalipice.com, and weekends and school break days tend to be the busiest, so buying ahead is a good idea.

Why stay overnight in Marysville

The lights look best after dark, and in late fall that means a long, chilly evening. Instead of driving back to Seattle or the Eastside late at night, you can stay close by and make it a relaxed holiday getaway. Marysville sits right next to Tulalip, and the Creekside Suite is about 1.5 miles from I-5, so getting to the lights and back is easy.

Make a full weekend of it. Spend the afternoon doing holiday shopping at Seattle Premium Outlets, grab dinner in Quil Ceda Village, walk the lights and skate in the evening, then head back to the suite to warm up.

The Creekside Suite: room for the whole group

The Creekside Suite is a boho, ground-floor guest suite with its own private entrance. It’s a roomier, quieter option than a hotel for families or a group of friends:

  • Sleeps up to 6, with a queen bedroom plus a sofa bed and an air mattress
  • An electric fireplace and cozy chairs for warming up after skating
  • A 75-inch TV with Roku for a holiday movie night
  • A full kitchen and a Keurig for hot cocoa, coffee and easy breakfasts
  • Washer and dryer for wet mittens and snow gear
  • Parking for 4 cars, so the whole group can drive up
  • A creekside patio, fenced yard, fire pit and hammock

Good to know before you book

The host family lives upstairs, and there are stairs down to the suite. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM. The lights shut off at 10 PM and skating can run until 10:30 PM on some nights, so if you stay until closing, plan on a quiet arrival back at the suite. The suite isn’t able to host pets.
